A list of proposals being considered for the City's Major Capital Partnership Program is now available for comment on Engage Ottawa. The list includes a proposal for improvements to the Gil-O-Julien Park Fieldhouse in the Overbrook community. Youth Ottawa has approached the City to do some improvements in the fieldhouse such as implementing a commercial kitchen to allow for community meals to be prepared and upgrading the programming space to allow for different programs to be made available to area youth. A feasibility study is underway to determine the needs of the fieldhouse and identify the scope of the work required to improve this facility to best meet the needs of local users. The survey will help to gauge community needs and will remain open for public feedback until July 17.
