Ironman Race Day takes place Sunday, August 2. The race begins at 6 am with a 3.8-kilometre loop in the Ottawa River from Brittania Park, followed by a 180-kilometre fully closed-road bike course and ending with a 42.2-kilometre run.
The cycling portion of the race will take competitors along Sussex Drive in New Edinburgh, and along Rockcliffe Driveway in Rockcliffe Park and along the entire length of Sir George-Etienne Cartier Parkway to St. Joseph Boulevard and back again. Details about road closures and traffic impacts will be shared as information becomes available.
