The City of Ottawa is offering a limited Air Conditioner Pilot to help eligible low-income residents stay safe during periods of extreme heat. Residents may qualify if they do not have a working air conditioner, have a health-related need for cooling, meet the Low-Income Cut-Off and cannot afford to purchase an air conditioner. To request an eligibility assessment, call 3-1-1 Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 4 pm. Select English (1) or French (2), then Community and Social Services (4), followed by option 6.
