Major improvements are moving forward at Alvin Heights Park in Manor Park following the completion of public consultation earlier this year. The project includes $410,000 in Ward 13 Cash-in-Lieu-of-Parkland funding for new back-to-back basketball half-courts, shaded tables, an outdoor ping-pong table and additional pool deck seating. An additional $144,595 will support replacement of the pool deck, an accessible pool ramp and stairs and repairs to the pool building. Design work is now underway, with construction of the pool deck improvements and new basketball courts expected to begin in spring 2027, ahead of the outdoor swimming season.
