The Alternate Neighbourhood Crisis Response (ANCHOR) program has expanded its services to new neighbourhoods, including the Byward Market, Lowertown, Sandy Hill, Overbrook, Vanier and Lees Towers. ANCHOR provides a community-led, non-police safer alternate response to mental health and substance use crisis. Individuals experiencing or witnessing a mental health or substance use crisis can call 2-1-1 to access ANCHOR, which is available 24/7 for people aged 16 and older within the service area. The new interactive map makes it easy to check if ANCHOR is available where you are.
