April 21, 2020 newsletter from Rawlson King, City Councillor for Rideau-Rockcliffe.
LOCAL FOOD FOR OUR LOCAL FOOD BANK
The COVID-19 health crisis is creating a range of unique and individual impacts for all Ottawa residents and businesses. Local Food for Our Local Food Bank is a neighbourhood initiative with the goal of linking Ward 13 businesses and restaurants with Rideau Rockcliffe Community Resource Centre’s (RRCRC) Food Bank, located at 815 St Laurent Boulevard. Your donation will allow the RRCRC Food Bank to source locally produced food and meals from our most trusted, local businesses. This food will then be given out to RRCRC’s Food Bank clients. The inaugural business participants in this initiative are Epicuria, Bread & Roses, and the Coconut Lagoon. Your tax deductible donation not only provides food for those in need in our community, but also helps to keep our local businesses running during this difficult time!
Local Food for Our Local Food Bank is now ready for donations through the RRCRC Canada Helps website at the link:
