Site preparation is scheduled to begin the week of August 4 for the restoration of the Centennial Garden in the Village Green in the Rockcliffe Park community. Most construction is expected to take place during August, weather depending. This community-led project, more than 10 years in the making, will restore the garden originally designed by Humphrey Carver in 1967 to commemorate Canada's Centennial. The restoration includes improvements to the pathways and the inner circle, new benches, native plantings, and the addition of a third boulder representing Nunavut at the heart of the garden.
