COVID-19 in Ottawa: Weekly roundup June 25, 2021

Covid-19 and Vaccine Updates:

  • To date, nearly 937,000 doses of vaccines have been administered in Ottawa.
  • This week, the City reached three important milestones in its COVID-19 vaccination effort:
    • A new record of 19,736 vaccine doses were administered yesterday, thanks to the increase in doses allocated to the City of Ottawa.
    • The City reached 78 per cent of first doses and 26 per cent of second doses for residents 18 years and older.
    • More than 62,000 vaccine appointments were booked by residents on Monday.
  • More pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinics for priority neighbourhoods for first and second doses have now been scheduled for June 27 to July 5.
  • All residents who are 18 years and older and have received their first COVID-19 vaccine dose will be eligible to book an accelerated second dose appointment on Monday, June 28 at 8 am.
  • Residents can now use an online tool to book last-minute, same-day COVID-19 vaccinations at community clinics in Ottawa.
  • The Province of Ontario is currently in Step One(link is external) of its Three-Step Roadmap(link is external) to safely reopen the province. It will move to Step Two(link is external) on Wednesday, June 30.
