Starting the week of March 25, Hydro Ottawa will be undertaking a project involving the replacement of aging hydro poles and equipment that will impact residents located on Oakhill Road and Corona Avenue (between Acacia Avenue and Beechwood Avenue). Hydro Ottawa estimates that this project will be completed by April 26, 2024. This project optimizes the construction schedule between the City of Ottawa and Hydro Ottawa, and it reduces construction noise and congestion. It is done ahead of the City's Oakhill, Corona and Carsdale Integrated Water and Sewer renewal project.
Overall, this work will include:
- pole and equipment replacement;
- lane reductions, sidewalk, and bicycle lane closures at the site; and
- tree trimming where required.
