Ottawa Capital Pride - until August 30; Parade is August 30

Enjoy Capital Pride festivities August 22 to 30. The Capital Pride Street Festival takes place August 29 and 30 on Bank Street, 12 to 8 pm each day. The festivities conclude with the Capital Pride Parade. Join more than 200 groups, 11,000 participants, and more than 150,000 attendees at Ottawa’s largest parade. Show your pride and celebrate on Sunday, August 30 at 1 pm in Centretown, along Wellington Street and Booth Street to Bank Street and Slater Street. Traffic impacts for the Capital Pride Parade: Road closures will be in effect on Bank Street, between Slater Street and Gladstone Avenue, during the street festival from 6 pm on Friday, August 28, to 2 am on Sunday, August 30. Road closures will also be in place during the parade on Wellington Street, Bank Street and Albert Street on August 30. Additionally, Chaudière Bridge and Portage Bridge will be closed on August 30, from 12:15 pm to 3 pm. Details: ottawa.ca
