Ottawa Fire Services, in partnership with the African, Caribbean and Black Wellness Resource Centre, is offering a fully funded training and mentorship opportunity for Black, racialized and Indigenous adults interested in becoming firefighters. The program includes firefighter training, required certifications, mentorship, career coaching and application support. An information session will be held Thursday, Sept. 17, from 5:30 to 7 pm at the ACB Wellness Resource Centre, 610 Donald Street. Applicants must be 23+, fluent in English, hold a valid Ontario Class G licence, be eligible for a clean Criminal Record Check and be able to complete the Candidate Physical Ability Test. Registration is required.
