Updates from Ottawa Public Health - March 9, 2023
- On Friday, July 16 at 12:01 am, Ontario will move to Step 3(link is external) of its Three-Step Roadmap(link is external) to safely reopen the province.
Covid-19 and Vaccine Updates:
- More than 1.2 million doses have been administered across our City.
- More than 81 per cent of Ottawa residents 18 and over have received at least one dose and 52 per cent have received two doses.
- The City of Ottawa and Ottawa Public Health are making it easier for residents who have yet to receive their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Anyone who has not yet had a first dose can now drop in to any City-run community clinic(link is external) between 10 am and 7 pm or pop-up clinic while supplies last(link is external). No appointment needed. You can find a clinic near you by using the vaccine clinic location tool on OttawaPublicHealth.ca/COVID19vaccine(link is external).
- More pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinics for priority neighbourhoods(link is external) for first and second doses have now been scheduled. These clinics are intended to raise vaccination rates in priority neighbourhoods and remove some barriers to accessing the vaccine. Pop-up clinics will continue while needed.

- Join us on July 10 at 6 pm for a virtual Vaccine 101 information session in French(link is external). There will be a question and answer session with Dr. Hugues Loemba, Associate Professor of Medicine, Physician-Researcher and Virologist, and Rev. Pastor Jose Mukesa of El Shaddai Church in Ottawa. Questions can be asked in French, Lingala, Swahili, and English.
- Calling all youth! The Rideau-Rockcliffe Community Resource Centre is hosting Vaccine 101: a virtual townhall for youth on July 13 from 6 pm to 7:30 pm. Register here to attend(link is external), and get answers to all your vaccine related questions.
