Traffic Impacts
Due to heavy rain, several streets around Ottawa are experiencing flooding. Please follow @Ottawa_Traffic for the latest updates on street closures and more. Ottawa Fire Services is receiving numerous calls for flooded streets and cars flooding and stalling and multiple roads are closed at this time. Ottawa Fire Services is urging residents to only travel if necessary.
Ottawa police have issued a safety reminder to treat all intersections with malfunctioning or flashing traffic signals as a four-way stop. Heavy rainfall is causing dangerous road conditions and road closures are in effect in many Ottawa neighbourhoods. Police are on scene to assist and continue to monitor and assess the situation.
