Topographic Survey on Wolff Street, Ontario Street, Marguerite Avenue and Stevens Avenue

Over the next few weeks, Stantec will be conducting topographic surveys on various street segments in Overbrook west of the Vanier Parkway. Area residents will receive notification letters in the coming days.

WHY: This field work is the first step in creating a proposed design to support the renewal of Wolff Street, Ontario Street, Marguerite Avenue and Stevens Avenue.
WHAT: The majority of the topographic information surveyed will be within the street limits adjacent to residents' properties. However, as part of the project scope, it may be necessary for field crews to access properties in order to survey the location of topographic features, from the street property line to the building face. Topographic features to be surveyed on private lands include, but are not limited to, walkways, driveways, gardens, retaining walls, trees, building outlines and basement windowsill elevations. The field crews may also have to expose legal survey bars at the front corner of some properties. They will replace any disturbed soil once these measurements have been taken.
WHEN: The consultant hired by the City anticipates their field work on this project will begin shortly and be completed by early September 2026.
