Water service will be interrupted for homes and businesses along both sides of St. Laurent Boulevard between Coté Street and just south of McArthur Avenue and beginning Tuesday, August 11 at 8 pm and continuing until Wednesday, August 12 at 4 am to allow for a new service connection to the existing watermain at 830 St. Laurent Boulevard. The work will require heavy construction equipment, including an excavator, dump trucks and compaction equipment. Backup safety alarms will also be in use. The work is being completed overnight at the direction of the City’s Right-of-Way department to minimize the impact of the temporary watermain shutdown on surrounding businesses and residents during peak hours.
