Construction is underway on the new Wateridge Village Fieldhouse at Eugène Martineau Park, creating a new year-round community gathering space for the growing neighbourhood. The $2.9-million project includes $217,500 in Ward 13 Cash-in-Lieu-of-Parkland funding and will feature a multi-purpose community room, skating change rooms, a kitchenette, storage space, washrooms and a generator connection to improve resilience during emergencies. Construction began in July 2026, with completion expected in 2027. Once finished, the fieldhouse will expand recreation and community programming opportunities at Eugène Martineau Park and provide an important new gathering place for Wateridge Village residents.
