Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend is Canada’s largest running and walking festival with six races, including the Ottawa Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, 2K and Kids Marathon, as well as three distance challenges. This year, Run Ottawa is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Tartan Ottawa International Marathon. The 2024 Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend will take place Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26.
Run Ottawa’s goal is to minimize inconvenience due to road closures for Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend events. We appreciate your patience and hope you will come out to cheer on the runners!
Anticipated Impacts
Ottawa residents and road users can expect some traffic impacts on Race Weekend.
This event involves intermittent lane reductions and closures on various roadways and parkways along the routes.
Please allow for extra travel time, use alternate whenever possible and always follow directions of posted parking restrictions.
