Enjoy the Black Soirée Dinner & Dance presented by ACB Wellness Resource Centre, Flo's Seniors and Jaku Konbit for a night of food, dancing and prizes! Taking place Dec. 21 at 1770 Heatherington Road at the BGC Taggart Parkes Family Clubhouse, dinner starts at 5 pm followed by dancing at 9 pm. Music by Bojangles, David Supersound and Massive Vibes. Proceeds from this event will directly support the ACB Centre's food bank, located in Ward 13 at 610 Donald Street. Each month, this food bank provides culturally relevant foods and non-perishable items to hundreds of families in our area, but due to an anticipated drastic cut in supply this coming year, their ability to serve our community is at risk. With your help, they can continue to meet the needs of families and ensure no one is left behind. One in seven families in Ottawa are facing food insecurity today, with Black and newcomer families disproportionately impacted.
