The next deadline for the Cultural Facilities Fund - Major Capital Projects is September 25, 2024. For the first time, applicants will be able to apply online, reflecting the need for a simplified application process and improved experience.
The Cultural Facilities Fund – Major Capital is designed to improve cultural spaces and facilities across the City of Ottawa. It provides eligible cultural organizations with funds for major capital projects, i.e., renovation, construction, restoration projects, purchase of specialized equipment with costs exceeding $60,000, and capital studies (prefeasibility and feasibility).
The Fund contributes:
- up to 25% of total eligible costs for renovation, construction, restoration projects or purchase of specialized equipment
- up to 50% for feasibility studies
- up to 90% for prefeasibility studies.
The Fund does not cover operating costs related to maintenance, repair, management, or administration.
The City can only accept complete applications. Applications must be completed and submitted through the City's online Portal.
The Fund’s website identifies the information and documents needed in your submission.
