The Manor Park Community Council is recruiting youth artists to ASSIST in the PLANNING and PAINTING of a new public MURAL at 1805 Gaspe Ave in Manor Park. The development of this mural will be lead by local, professional mural artist, @artworkbyemilie Emilie Darlington, with funding from Crime Prevention Ottawa as part of the Paint it Up Youth Engagement Mural Project.
The design of the mural will draw on inspiration from the surrounding landscape and community.
Applicants must:
Be ages 14+ and have an interest in art
Be available on July 4 & July 11, 2023 for design consultation meetings
Be available for the week of August 28 - 31, 2023 (daytime) to assist with painting
