Expect lane reductions on Montreal Road, between Vanier Parkway and St. Laurent Boulevard over the next week.
Work planned for February 10 to 14:
- Montreal Road at North River Road: Bell Canada has completed the underground structure. Site clean-up, including removal of traffic control at the intersection, will occur early in the week.
- Montreal Road from North River Road to Altha Avenue: Removal of old pedestrian lights. Eastbound and westbound lanes will remain open but may be reduced to one lane in each direction between 9 am and 3:30 pm. Pedestrian access may be limited within the work zones and detours will be implemented as required.
- Montreal Road from Montgomery Street to de L’Eglise Street: Hydro overhead utility works and burial works (various locations). Eastbound and westbound lanes will remain open but may be reduced to one lane in each direction between 9 am and 3:30 pm. Pedestrian access may be limited within the work zones and detours will be implemented as required.
- Contractor and City crews are door knocking at businesses along Montreal Road to gain additional information regarding internal plumbing of buildings as well as the operations of the business (hours of operation, access, water usage).

- Montreal Road from Montgomery Street to de L’Eglise Street: Hydro overhead utility works and burial works (various locations). Pedestrian access may be limited within the work zones and detours will be implemented as required.
Other/special notes:
- City crews are active on-site marking trees to outline which ones will need to be removed and/or pruned.
