Morin Street resurfacing - beginning June 13

As part of the City of Ottawa’s annual infrastructure maintenance cycle, road resurfacing will occur along Morin Street to improve this roadway and the overall citywide transportation network.

What: Work will involve milling of existing roadway, the addition of granular A road base, concrete curb repairs, iron adjustments and paving of a binder course and surface asphalt. Increased noise levels and vibrations to be expected to facilitate the work.
Why: The City of Ottawa will be resurfacing roads as preventative maintenance aimed at extending the City's roadway network lifecycle.
WhenThis work is scheduled to start in early June 2024 and completion is anticipated by fall 2024. Work will take place between the hours of 7 am and 10 pm as required. Morin Street will remain open to traffic with lane closures expected.
Update: Signage will be placed in the area starting June 7 to notify motorists of upcoming work, as well as traffic barrels. Milling of the roadway asphalt is expected to begin on June 13 followed by concrete removals and granular and granular road base placement, iron adjustments and paving.
Where: Work will occur along Morin Street from Côté Street to St. Laurent Boulevard.
Who: The City of Ottawa has retained the contractor, R.W. Tomlinson Limited, to resurface Morin Street.
