Pictograms of a community. The text, newcomer reception centres is in the centre.

A City-sponsored public information session has been scheduled for December 4 from 6 to 7:30 pm. The session will take place at the Nepean Sportsplex, 1701 Woodroffe Ave., in Halls A&B, which is accessible through Entrance 3 at the rear of the building. This is an accessible venue, with plenty of parking onsite. The public information session will provide information about the refugee claimant and settlement process, the services that will be provided to newcomers at the new centres, the benefit to the city in having these centres, the process for site selection, and details about the structures and the timeline and process for constructing them. There will be an opportunity to visit with subject experts, ask questions, and have conversations. This meeting will feature the participation of program staff from the City, with representatives from Stantec Consulting Firm and Refugee 613.
