Ottawa Stadium Community Visioning

Participate in a community visioning exercise concerning the Ottawa Stadium scheduled for June 28.

Baseball is back in Ottawa. The Ottawa Titans baseball team from the Frontier League are playing at the Ottawa baseball Stadium which can be easily accessed by walking, bike, transit via the O-train, downtown busses, or cars.

The City of Ottawa has signed a 10-year lease agreement allowing the leaseholder, Sam Katz of the Winnipeg Goldeyes (former Mayor of Winnipeg) and the Ottawa Sport and Entertainment Group, to focus on building a profitable business venture including hosting the Ottawa Titans.

In 2019, Ottawa City Council directed the City of Ottawa to work with key stakeholders and the community to develop a vision that identifies opportunities for increased community usage of the Ottawa stadium and its exterior.

The goal of the visioning process is to provide Council a recommendation report for the stadium and its surrounding areas, identifying what will create a more livable, inviting, and dynamic environment for people and families, while enhancing mobility, city life, and financial sustainability.

An online Community and Information Session is on June 28 at 6:00 pm for you to share with us your short, medium, and long-term vision of the baseball stadium and its surroundings.

Please register here for the online meeting. For more information on the community visioning process, please visit the Engage Ottawa page.

We are looking forward to hearing what you think!
