Join Deborah Doherty, local native plant gardener and co-chair of Bird Friendly Ottawa, and Corrie Rabbe, your neighborhood herbalist and nutritionist from Radical Health, to learn more about the native plants in your neighbourhood. Deborah will chat about native plants in the Donald Street boulevard gardens and how you can grow native plants in your gardens. Corrie will take you on a tour where you will learn about the many common edible and medicinal wild plants, and will identify and teach about local and sustainable plant medicine and food in beautiful Riverain Park. She will share tips and recipes for the safe use of wild plants. The tour and walk are scheduled for Sept. 14 from 9 to 11 am. Meet at the Adàwe Crossing at 1 Donald Street.
