Motorists should expect continued intermittent lane reductions on Montreal Road, between Vanier Parkway and St. Laurent Boulevard over the next week.
This part of the Montreal Road Revitalization project will take place between 9 am and 3:30 pm until Friday, February 14. In addition, Montreal Road eastbound is reduced to one lane at the intersection of Montreal and North River roads. South of Montreal Road, North River Road is closed in the southbound direction until Friday, February 21. Detour signs for traffic and pedestrians are in place.
Work planned for February 3 to 7:
- Montreal Road from North River Road to Altha Avenue: Removal of old pedestrian lights. Eastbound and westbound lanes will remain open but may be reduced to one lane in each direction between 9 am and 3:30 pm. Pedestrian access may be limited within the work zones and detours will be implemented as required.
- Montreal Road from Montgomery Street to de L’Eglise Street: Hydro overhead utility works and burial works (various locations). Eastbound and westbound lanes will remain open but may be reduced to one lane in each direction between 9 am and 3:30 pm. Pedestrian access may be limited within the work zones and detours will be implemented as required.
- Montreal Road at North River Road: Bell Canada underground structure rebuild is progressing according to schedule. One eastbound lane on the Cummings Bridge is closed as well as southbound North River Road between Montreal Road and Selkirk. A detour for motorists and OC Transpo is in place via Vanier Parkway to McArthur Ave to North River Road.
