The Vanier BIA has cancelled the Vanier Family Pride Carnival, originally scheduled for the afternoon of August 18 at the HUB, due to weather.
A statement from the Vanier BIA:
It is with a heavy heart that we must cancel tomorrow’s Vanier Family Pride Carnival due to inclement weather. So much goes into an event like pride. We therefore need to give appropriate advance notice to performers etc, which means making a cancellation call today. Given the weather warnings and thundershowers it would simply be unsafe and ineffective to host this event tomorrow.
